In the beginning of September, VINCI Construction France together with its subsidiaries BATEG and CBC welcomed partners from LIST (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology) for a first technical meeting. This day was the opportunity to exchange with the construction team and to visit the site.

The French pilot site is a renovation project of two buildings for the French government in the 7th arrondissement of Paris. In the heart of the French capital, the construction works have started in the beginning of 2015 and will last until summer 2017 for a global cost of 143.6 million euros.

With an average of around 17 deliveries per day and more than 110 packages handled each day (estimation from October), the logistic constraints of supply, internal flows and reverse logistics totally fit with the SUCCESS project’s ambitions: reduce negative impacts and the cost of freight distribution in urban areas.

The September meeting was hold to specify a list of indicators to follow in order to describe the logistic flows of the construction site in detail. Since December 1st, these indicators are tracked on the site day by day.
