The CIVITAS Forum 2017 is approaching and the SUCCESS partners are getting prepared to participate for the third time in this high-level conference on urban logistics.
A high visibility of the SUCCESS project will be guaranteed through the participation of eight consortium partners from six different organisations ensuring a broad coverage of expertise (three research centres: project coordinator LIST, the Institute for Transport and Logistics and the Valencia Port Foundation; Las Naves as a public authority, the construction company Vinci Construction France as well as AFT, professional association of the transport sector).
Different workshops and exposition sessions to showcase the SUCCESS experience
The SUCCESS project is part of the session “Innovative approaches for engaging and supporting industry and city authorities in urban freight strategy development” on 27 September. The focus of the presentation will be put on the project’s contribution to the development of a favourable background for the facilitation of stakeholder engagement and cooperation in the Urban Freight Transport sector. In this context, the business model approach of the SUCCESS project will be presented. Besides high level representatives from the European Commission, a programme manager from the US Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will participate to learn more about European initiatives and findings.
During the CIVITAS Deployment Day on 28 September, aiming to connect developers of new tools and methods with potential users, the SUCCESS project partners will present a tangible table which allows explaining complex contexts and correlations in a simple and visual way. This tool concretely shows the impacts of construction logistics and thus helps demonstrating possible solutions to improve the current situation.
