The NOVELOG Turin Workshop ‘Green solutions for the urban logistics’ is the fourth of six
NOVELOG city workshops and took place on 5 April 2017 in the “Sala delle Colonne” in the Municipal Hall of the City of Turin.
It was a very interesting and interactive day with a huge turnout of stakeholders: around 90 people attended the event and 8 speakers presented innovative solutions for freight transport and logistics. During the afternoon, a technical visit to of 5T (Telematic Technologies Transports Traffic Torino) was organised to show how the vehicles involved in the NOVELOG project are monitored by the traffic control room of the City of Turin.
The workshop was structured in 4 sections as follows:
A) Presentation of NOVELOG and UF projects and initiatives in Turin
B) Experiences from other cities
C) Moderated discussion
D) Technical visit
Within session B “Experiences from other cities”, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia was invited to present the SUCCESS Project in order to disseminate the Project results and – in particular – to explain and introduce to the SUCCESS Business Models approach. The European-Wide Enlarged Transfer Programme was also presented.
NOVELOG is one of our CIVITAS Urban Freight sister projects and enables knowledge and understanding of urban freight distribution by providing guidance for implementing effective and sustainable policies and measures.
